So excited to get back behind my nail table and see so many of you starting tomorrow.
I have my mask all ready.
Please bring one with you as well. πŸ’žπŸ˜·πŸ’…
[06/03/20]   Hey Nail House friends.. πŸ’…UPDATEπŸ’…
As you all know. I announced last month I was seeing a hand specialist..
I saw him this morning.
I really liked my doctor and have πŸ’―% faith he will do what is best for me. I had 2 opinions today. Both said I need surgery.
~ However~ I have decided to try a Cortisone Shot first.
So far I'm still pretty miserable..
I am to call him back in 3 weeks. Then we will decide what to do.
If surgery does happen it will be quick outpatient procedure. And here's the best part... πŸ’— Recovery should be around 10 days.
So.. Let me take a few days to rest. (I'm in a lot of pain right now)
And I will begin to make calls to get you all scheduled.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so understanding..
I'm Hoping to be back at it next week.
My hours will be limited and again I Will require you to wear a mask and wait for the ok to enter the salon. Thanks again guy you are all the best. I love you all.
Hey guys..
I have good news and not so good news.

Good news first..

I've really missed you guys and the Governor has given us the green light to open as soon as we feel safe and have our salons ready. Yay❗ πŸ’…πŸŒˆ I am currently waiting for supplies arrive. (I have contacted some of you that have enquired about appointments.)
I plan on opening in June.

Now, for the not so good news....😞

As some of my long time customers and friends know, I have been battling with Carpel Tunnel for many, many years. The pain has become so severe I cannot use my hands as I need to. I have been in pain for many years. It's come to a point where I cannot put it off any longer, as I can't do daily tasks, let alone give my customers quality nail services.
I have an appointment scheduled in early June to see a hand specialist.
As soon as I see him and we have a plan in place I will let you all know.
And will get you all scheduled as soon as I possible.
I do not want to open up my salon just to close down again to recover from possible surgery.

I thank you all for being so understanding and patient with me.

Once I do open back up I will have new regulations we all will need to follow.
I will require everyone to wear a mask and wait in your vehicle until I let you know it's your appointment time.

Thank you to all my loyal, faithful customers for understanding.
I love and miss you all!

Stay healthy..πŸ’•
Stay safe...πŸ’ž

As part of today's announcement, Governor DeWine reminded Ohioans that COVID-19 is still incredibly dangerous and stressed the importance of continuing to exercise safe health habits as different sectors of the economy begin to reopen.
"Reopening Ohio is a risk, but it's also a risk if you don't move forward. We're on a dangerous road that has never been traveled before in Ohio and the danger is that we relax and stop taking precautions," said Governor DeWine. "All of us collectively control this. I ask you to take calculated risks and make good judgments. Continue social distancing, washing your hands, and wearing face coverings. If you aren't concerned with what happens to you, do it for others."

Restaurants and bars in Ohio will be permitted to reopen as follows:
β€’ Outdoor dining: May 15
β€’ Dine-in service: May 21
To ensure that these establishments operate in the safest manner possible, Governor DeWine's Restaurant Advisory Group created a detailed list of guidelines and best practices for restaurant and bar owners to follow. The full list of mandatory and recommended best practices can be found at

Personal care services such as hair salons, barbershops, day spas, nail salons, and tanning facilities may reopen on May 15.

Today, Governor DeWine announced the start of the state's reopening plan. The Governor specifically stated that at this time salons, barbershops, spas and nail facilities are not able to reopen as part of this first phase announcement. The Board is seeking further guidance on tanning facilities and cosmetology/barber schools. Once we have this guidance, we will provide this information as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you are encouraged to continue to review and refamiliarize yourself with the infection control requirements found in OAC Chapter 4713-15 Sanitation; Communicable Diseases.

We know you are all anxious to get back to doing what you love to do and appreciate your patience and compliance as the Governor seeks to reopen the state while keeping the citizens healthy. Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board Governor DeWine has announced that beginning May 1st, the state will begin a phased-in reopening of the state economy. The plan will be fact-driven over a long period of time to minimize the health risk to business owners, employees, and their customers. In consultation with Dr. Acton, Lt. Governor Jon Husted will lead the governor’s board of economic advisors to identify best practices, similar to the current requirements on essential business operations to ensure Ohioans health and safety as businesses begin the process of reopening. It is not yet known when our industry will be permitted to reopen.

Prom 2019 πŸ’…πŸŽ©πŸ’πŸ’ƒπŸ‘‘ Beauty Queen Blames Melanoma On Gel Nail Manicure Gel manicures have been popular for years thanks to the vibrant colors that don’t chip and last for weeks. But after a beauty queen’s bout with melanoma, there are renewed concerns those colorful fingertips could come with cancer.
Wrapped up a fun week in the salon. (All work was done free hand. No stencils or drills used)

The Nail House will be closed from Friday April 19th thru Monday April 29th. If you need in let me know I have a few openings next week. Thanks for allowing me time with family. I will return any messages as soon as possible.
I want to share a few photos with you all.. Sorry this is so lengthy...
A friend came to me about 4 months ago. She had been getting GEL polish at a salon near her home. The Gel was very difficult to remove. I soaked and soaked them but, unfortunately I had to use my drill on low speed and a drill bit designed for the purpose of removing the gel. (Something I really DO NOT like to do).
We began using Shellac Polish 4 months ago .(Just as durable and long lasting as the Gel. And It takes literally **5 MINUTES** to remove & **NO DRILL** needed.)
As you can see her nails are very brittle , peeling and are weak. Breaking so short her fingers are sore. As You can see from the pictures, the damage is on the free edge of her nails, not the the cuticle area. Her polish starting peeling and not lasting. But was only peeling on the free edge area. In the cuticle area, it was perfect. Which is the growth of her nails since the last application of the Gel Polish.
So when people ask why I don't do Gel nails or use Gel polish. This Is why. The Gel Polish, YES very durable and long lasting is very damaging to the natural nail.
If you like your polish to last 2 weeks ... I can help! And I won't damage you're natural nail! πŸ’…
I wanted a freshen up today. My nails had grown out and I never have time to do a new set. So I did re-white of my tips.
There is NO Polish on my nails. Just a clear coat.
